Barry’s Story - The summer of 2026 and beyond
An unexpected song
The summer promised to be a languid one and then, all of a sudden, it wasn’t. What started as a niggling painful side turned into a couple of unsatisfactory bloodtests, an unclear CT scan and an endoscopy that prompted a phone call from the doctor within 24 hrs, never a good sign. The diagnoses of a pancreatic tumour was a shock and frankly, though treatment has now started, it still is.
The outpouring of love from family, friends, the music community as a whole, has been heartwarming and often the question is what can we do, especially not living nearby; keep making music, share music and for people who enjoy listening to music; purchase it at the source to support the ones who made it.
We’ve set up a page with Barry’s new albums including the ones that have not been offically released and will link to some more amazing artists for you to check out too.
Updates on his journey will be added here, no particular schedule, though definitely not daily.
On 2nd of November PizzaExpress Jazz Club Soho will kindly host a benefit with an amazing line up (more info over on JazzUKNews) for Barry: Tickets available here.
